Job Description
As an Outside Sales Representative at All-Pro Fasteners, Inc., you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining relationships with clients in the industrial and commercial sectors. This field-based role involves identifying new business opportunities, presenting our comprehensive product and service offerings, and providing tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop new accounts while nurturing existing client relationships in assigned territories.
- Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and consultations to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate fasteners, industrial supplies, and supply chain services (e.g., VMI, kitting, strategic sourcing).
- Achieve sales targets through effective negotiation, closing deals, and upselling our value-added services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., manufacturing, warehouse, and support staff) to ensure seamless delivery of products and solutions.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts using CRM tools.
- Travel within your territory as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales within the fasteners industry or related industrial supply sectors (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, or hardware).
- Strong knowledge of fasteners, industrial supplies, and supply chain solutions; familiarity with products like bolts, nuts, washers, and MRO items is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote/field environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 50-75% within territory).
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits
Based on industry averages for outside sales representatives in the industrial fasteners sector in the United States, we offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and support your success.
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
- Commission Structure: Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, with potential for total first-year earnings of $100,000+ (including base and commissions).
