QUALITY CONTROL LAB TECHNICIAN

All-Pro Fasteners, Inc. • Arlington, TX

Responsibilities

  • Interprets engineering drawings and blueprints to determine quality and reliability standards
  • Selects products for testing during receiving or shipping process, and tests products for mechanical integrity and standard compliance
  • Report the test data into the quality software to create the formal test reports
  • Verify and upkeep the maintenance of the test equipment within the quality lab
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Shipping Clerk

Summary: Completes orders and prepares documents to ship product to customer by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Reviews order to determine steps completed and additional steps required to complete order
  • Work with Expediters to determine method of shipment
  • Serves as double checker to ensure shipments meet specifications. Compares identifying information such as counts, part numbers, methods of shipment
  • Stage and prepares material for shipping, including shrink wrapping, banding and labeling
  • Verifies and documents quantities and description of material pulled
  • Operates a forklift for moving, stacking, pulling, placing or loading material
  • Move completed orders to correct locations
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

  • Counts, measures, or weighs material to verify contents received against bill of ladings or packing slips
  • Examines material with identifying information Documents information relating to receipt of material
  • Operates a forklift for moving, stacking, pulling or placing material Use a computer to receive in all products and to print labels
  • Use RF scanner for picking orders and moving product into stock Clean and maintain work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Inventory Stocker

Summary:Places received material into stock locations by performing the following duties.

  • Tags received material, designates location for material Places stock in designated locations
  • Use RF scanner for stock put-a-ways, consolidating and inventory movement
  • Ensure put-a-ways of all material move within the mandatory 24 hour turn -a-round period
  • Operates forklift for moving, stacking, pulling or placing material Consolidate material
  • Cycle counting Forklift checklist
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Inventory Control Clerk

Summary: Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type and value of material stocked in establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prints inventory list by type of material, location and quantity for cycle counting
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Manages procurement of kitting products and maintains inventory levels
  • Approves branch location supply purchasing
  • Works directly with management to write and train personnel on company procedures
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages one subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of three employees in the Inventory Management and Branch Support.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises one non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Saw Operator 

Summary: Operates saw to saw, raw material by performing following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Provides traveler to material handler to pull appropriate material assigned to the traveler from the material lot.
  • Match material to proper tags as well as diameter of material, notify Saw Lead if  they do not match.
  • Set saw program to proper length. Zero out counter and track number of bars chopped/sawed.
  • Saw material and fill out traceability tag for material cut before moving out of area.
  • Log material used on daily cut sheet and submit to Saw Lead at the end of each shift.
  • Fill out router with number of pieces cut.
  • Provide first article to QC Supervisor/Lead for approval signature.
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Bend Operator

Summary: Sets up and operates machines that perform different bending capabilities to specified angles or contour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery daily before start-up Match material to proper tags and traveler
  • Ensure all material has a traceability tag at the start of each job Select and install tooling for radius required
  • Set stops to proper leg length
  • Provide 1st article piece to Building 4 Supervisor or QC for sign off on 1st article made
  • After completion of each job, verify quantity of job is complete. In the event the job is incomplete, notify the Building 4 Supervisor
  • Move completed orders to their next operation and mark off job on current day’s production schedule sheet
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Cut Thread Operator

Summary: Set up and operate cut-threading machine by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures preventative maintenance has been performed on machinery before start-up Set-up die head to diameter and pitch required
  • Check cut material against job tags
  • Obtain master nut or thread gages for each assigned traveler from QC Set stop to thread length
  • Submit 1st article to Supervisor Lead or QC for sign off on 1st article made Ensure all material has a traceability tag at the start of each job
  • Mark off completed jobs on daily production schedule sheet and obtain the next job from Cut-Thread Supervisor/Lead
  • Return thread gages to Supervisor/Lead after completing job(s) and at the end of shift
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

CNC Machinist

Summary: Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery. Adhere to material traceability procedures
  • Select and install proper tooling and/or fixtures and program. Provide first article to QC Supervisor/Lead for approval signature
  • Periodically inspect parts for conformity to specifications
  • Provide accurate account of pieces produced.
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift

Painter

Summary: Apply various types of protective coatings, prime to detail parts and assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check surfaces prior to painting or treating for proper preparation.
  • Operate associated paint equipment and facilities to perform application and preparation operations.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, schematics, planning and verbal instructions.
  • Apply tape and paper or other covers.
  • Perform verification of accuracy using measuring equipment such as tape measures.
  • Organize and clean work area 15-20 minutes before end of shift
